Gastro-abstractions: Nort Festival imagery

For the inaugural Nort Festival, Muru Studios drew inspiration from the early 20th-century New Objectivity movement to craft abstract food still lifes. Our compositions are not just visually bold; they're a study in the manipulation of light and shadow. The use of defined lighting and broken glass gives rise to complex shadows, creating highly graphic images. This approach presents an intriguing intersection of gastronomy and design, challenging conventional perceptions.

Did you know? New Objectivity was a movement that rejected the subjective and emotional in favor of the clear and factual. Our work aimed to bring clarity to the world of gastronomy and design.
